In 1983 two close friends created a comic book story like none other that had been seen up to that point. Mixing the genres of revenge, ninja clans, and of all things, mutated reptiles. The story blew up into unimaginable heights of success and popularity, and thus the world came to know the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Much like many of their successful comic book counterparts, the Turtles became household names due to their cartoons, comics, movies, and of course, action figures!
